CHAMRAN HOSPITAL

The multifunctional exterior design of the dialysis and chemotherapy wards of Chamran Hospital which has two main parts(the main body and the second skin) is derived from the project needs. On one side, masonry materials were used in the main body of this ward due to the renovation process, on the other hand, the second skin must moderate the environmental situations of the unit.

By providing an intermediate corridor consist of glass and louvers with wooden finish, the building energy consumption is going to be reduced(specification of the materials should meet the requirements of design). Moreover, users may access to the sides of the building through this corridor.

The second skin amplified the integrity of the form and aesthetically aspects as well.
